Personal Statement

After reviewing your job description, I believe I have the skills to match the criteria of this job role.

 

Throughout my degree in Animation I developed skills in expressing motion with shapes, textures of Nature and reflections of the living. I also had the opportunity to further develop my skills in Photography, Recording, Video Editing and Graphic Design and am confident in using different software programmes. I have studied the fundamentals of hand drawn 2D and 3D animation and having knowledge of Kinetic typography, I have developed the understanding of movement. I have used Roto-scoping in order to design characters formed of inanimate objects with different personalities.

 

I am experienced and have a developed ability in using Photoshop, Premier Pro for film editing as well as Final Cut and After Effects, Adobe illustrator CS6, Adobe Creative suite. I am able to use studio photography and lighting through stop-motion workshops.

 

I have completed an internship working from home with an App Development company where I was responsible for designing graphics to produce an animated movie clip to advertise their App. I have experience as an assistant photographer for a company located in Maidstone, where I was deployed for various jobs e.g. sporting and wedding events.

 

Since University I have kept my designs flowing by creating a website

and business cards for myself. Most recently I have designed business logos for a small local company. Whilst developing my portfolio I have been employed in many sectors including retail, hospitality and catering. I am currently employed by at Tesco Dotcom online shopping service and would now welcome the opportunity to further utilize the skills and knowledge I have gained through my studies.

 

I consider myself to be a versatile and enthusiastic individual who strives to work my hardest at all tasks given to me. I work well within a team undertaking directed tasks; however I can also use my own initiative, ensuring all tasks are completed diligently and within the given time. I have good communication skills and having worked in different sectors have a good understanding of Health and Safety, Equal Opportunities and the Equality Race Act. I would ensure that all policies and procedures at your company would be adhered to.
